چکیده
Background: Pneumoconiosis occurs almost all in entire worldwide. had threatened cement workers. Serologic abnormalities found pneumoconiosis. Surfactant Protein D (SP-D) levels increased silica exposed may be useful biomarkers for early diagnosis of pneumoconiosis but it has not yet been studied Indonesia.Method: This is a cross-sectional study and was done by consecutive sampling. The total subject 61, consisting 44 workers 17 control from September 2017–March 2018. Serum level SP-D measured ELISA method. Cement are worker the production area quarry areas. Results: that characteristic subjects were male 100% mean age 42.5 years old, youngest oldest 21 55 respectively. Normal weight group's greatest number (47.7%), followed overweight 12 (22.3%), obese 8 (18.2%), underweight 1 (2.3%). Based on history smoking, this 26 (59.1%) never smoked, (27.3%) as smokers, 6 (13.6%) former smokers. Duration exposure <10 9 (20.5%) duration ≥10 35 (79.5%) with using self-respiratory safety instrument good categorical 5 (11.4%), moderate 36 (81.8%) poor quality 3 (6.8%). Mean serum group 111.027 ng/ml 67.648 ng/ml. Levels significantly higher than (p-value=0.014).Conclusion: Comparison between statistically group.

Surfactant protein-D and exposure to bioaerosols in wastewater and garbage workers.
PURPOSE Bioaerosols and their constituents, such as endotoxins, are capable of causing an inflammatory reaction at the level of the lung-blood barrier, which becomes more permeable. Thus, it was hypothesized that occupational exposure to bioaerosols can increase leakage of surfactant protein-D (SP-D), a lung-specific protein, into the bloodstream. METHODS SP-D was determined by ELISA in 316 w...
متن کاملSurfactant protein D is proatherogenic in mice.
Surfactant protein D (SP-D) is an important innate immune defense molecule that mediates clearance of pathogens and modulates the inflammatory response. Moreover, SP-D is involved in lipid homeostasis, and pulmonary accumulation of phospholipids has previously been observed in SP-D-deficient (Spd-/-) mice. Atherogenesis involves both inflammation and lipid deposition, and we investigated the ro...

Surfactant protein D (SP-D) is a collagenous glycoprotein that is secreted into the pulmonary airspaces by alveolar type II and nonciliated bronchiolar cells. SP-D exhibits Ca"+-dependent carbohydrate binding in vitro and is structurally related to the collagenous C-type lectins, including serum conglutinin, serum mannose-binding proteins, and surfactant protein A. Preliminary studies showed ca...
متن کاملSurfactant protein-D and pulmonary host defense
Surfactant protein-D (SP-D) participates in the innate response to inhaled microorganisms and organic antigens, and contributes to immune and inflammatory regulation within the lung. SP-D is synthesized and secreted by alveolar and bronchiolar epithelial cells, but is also expressed by epithelial cells lining various exocrine ducts and the mucosa of the gastrointestinal and genitourinary tracts...
